….working on picking the winners of the Giveaway Extravaganza! (and then counting through all those comments for the winners-yeeshk!) I am so excited about all these awesome giveaways! I should hopefully have the winners posted here tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜€
…working on Halloween costumes. We’re going as a theme…can you guess just from the fabric colors? (no spoiling it if you know already! thismeansyoucassy!) If you can-I’ll give you……………………….a virtual high five. I’m fresh out of giveaways.

…amazed at how much this girl can drool. Sadie was never a drooler-so the amount of saliva that comes out of Charlotte’s mouth never ceases to amaze. or disgust. Good thing she’s cute.

…doing a lot of hanging out in here now that it’s cooling off in the afternoons. Sadie loves force feeding her dollies in the high chair and then doing a little shopping…and then changing in and out of dress up. I don’t think she actually wore a “real” outfit today. (except for my short-lived and forced photo shoot with her new shirt)

…SOO excited for the sew-along I’m planning for this shirt! I decided on a sew-along (where you sew a part of the shirt each day) because otherwise it would be the longest tutorial in the history of blogging. It’s not hard-just a lot of steps to take pictures of! I’m trying to name it though and drawing a blank. Does anyone have a good name that I can steal borrow? Details coming soon-I will probably have the sew-along the week of Oct 18-22. Yay! I’ll have a post closer to that time with a supply list, etc.

…excited about guest blogging over on SEI Lifestyle all next week! I have some fun stuff planned-a spooky skirt tutorial, a yummy recipe, and some other cool tidbits. (well, they’re cool to me at least) lol. So I’ll let you know what I’m up to over there each day next week!

  1. YES! I finally have proof that I am not the only one who makes my family themed halloween costumes every year. First Veggie Tales Bob and Larry and Mr and Mrs. Asparagus, mmmmkkkay and then Mickey Mouse and gang and this year the king and queen and the princess and her knight in shining armor. I have no guess btw but am excted to find out.

  2. I know! I know! It’s…oh yeah… okay I won’t say… They’re gonna be so cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. hehe, I totally did a family of pirates for the last set of halloween costumes. It was awesome, my hubby got right into it, with his ‘tattooed’ biceps. Family costume themes are AWESOME! I don’t have the foggiest as to what to do this year… my three year old girl wants to be a dragon and I have no idea if I’ll be sporting a baby or a baby bump. And certainly not enough energy to do a set of costumes for myself and possibly baby for just in case, yeesh.
I am so very terrified that this impending baby will be either a champion drooler or a champion spitter. My 3 yr old was neither a drooler nor a spitter. My 1 yr old nephew was a projectile-vomit-spitter. And he LOVED to throw up on me. Man… Jamin loves me, it’s not deniable, but once he stopped spitting up on me from up to three feet away, he started coming up to me and smiling up at me …while pooping. Once he didn’t poop for three days, then I came over and he sat down beside me, smiled the cutest little smile, and away he went. Peeeee-YEW!

  4. Can’t wait to find out what you’re all being for Halloween!

Charlotte is just the cutest…can’t get over those cheeks! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ella would be so jealous of Sadie’s playroom…she’s a lucky girl!

  5. Charlotte is SOOOOO adorable!!

  14. Yay! I’m so excited about the sew along! And I’m even more excited that you picked an excellent (for me) week to do it! Double hooray.

Oh, and my guess is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But I’m pretty sure I’m wrong about that. Since there are four of you. But that’s what the colors made me think of. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. P.S. My idea for a name for the shirt is the “Monday Best tunic.” It is a weird idea, but there it is. ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy Friday!

  16. Ok, so I’m not guessing, my comment is actually a little different, it’s more for Charlotte, for heavy droolers, you can make some cute little bibs and make an inner layer made from Microfiber. It’s commonly used in cloth diapers. Anyway, my cousin’s little girl still drools and so I’ve made her a bunch of bibs with Microfiber on the inside and they love them. Then she can wear a cute little outfit and not ruin it or have to change every few minutes to stay dry. Anyway, just a thought. I am excited to see the costumes, you’re an awesome sewer I’m sure they’ll be awesome too!

  17. just a wild guess.. teletubies????

  18. I’m stumped on the theme–can’t wait to find out!
And I want to pinch Charlotte’s cheeks–is that wrong of me, to want to pinch a baby I don’t know? I’m sorry if it is, I can’t help it. They’re just such pinchable looking cheeks!!!

  19. I’m excited to see your Halloween costumes! My little girl drooled a ridiculous amount. We finally stuck a bib on her to collect some of the drool. We’d go through three or four drooly bibs a day but it was easier than changing her clothes (over her head) that many times a day. I think it’d be fun to name the shirt after Sadie unless you have an even more Sadie item of clothing brewing in your mind. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. No clue on the Halloween costume theme…

That playroom is amazing! Everything about it. I’m thinking I should live by you and your little Sadie- our girlies could be great friends and we could do sewing projects all day. haha ๐Ÿ™‚ Okay, now don’t think I’m some weird stocker… please, because I’m not.

  21. I guess…peter pan? lol no idea for a name, I suck at naming things! I too, adore the plsyroom, and that shirt!

  22. Yippee, I am so happy! Thanks so much ๐Ÿ˜‰

  23. I vote scooby doo. ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. Can’t wait for the sew along, Jess! I’ve never sewn a shirt before, so this should be interesting.

My daughter had the same ladybug romper that Charlotte is wearing. Your play room looks AMAZING in that photo!

  25. I am new to your blog…I love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a question that is totally random I am sure…but where did you get the kitchen that is in the photo with your little one? We are looking for a wood one for Christmas, and that is so cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks!
