I fell in love with this fabric (Always in Bloom by RJR Fabrics), and had to get me some. I found it at a little general store on our way home a few weeks ago from a women’s retreat for church. Random, huh? It was only $4/yard too! Nice!
So I decided to go for a skirt-you’ve seen this style of skirt floating around the blogs, right? It has a waistband and cute tie, with a gathered skirt. I hand sewed the invisible hem. My first time doing that, and it looks soo much better than sewing it on the machine! I always made my mom do it when I sewed skirts as a teen. lol, sorry Mom.
Sorry about only the one picture. It’s a little hard to get good shots using the timer. And please pardon the book/toys. A momma’s life, huh?
Cute! I love it in a print! I’ve been wanting to make a paper-bag waist skirt myself, but I haven’t found *just* the right fabric yet.
It turned out really cute! DO we get to see it on Sunday? ๐
Oh, that’s beautiful!!
So gorgeous! And you are so tiny right after having a baby!! ๐
I love this style skirt and have been wanting to make one for a while now. Do you know of any good tutorials on how to make one?
