sale

Today was a 50% off sale day at our Salvation Army store. I kind of love these days. ๐Ÿ˜€ I didn’t find ANY books or linens, but scored on some bloomers for the baby (and one pair Sadie can wear). I was excited to find these (40 cents each!), because I’m not a fan of making them, and since I make a lot of Sadie’s (and now baby’s) dresses, sometimes I have to hunt through her store bought dresses for a pair to match. Usually 5 minutes before church. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Right now she’s down to one pair of pink 9-12 month bloomers. lol. Thank goodness the pink ones I found are size 12-18 month!

I also got a cute pink skirt to refashion for the Sadester, and three adorable sweatshirts for baby for this winter. At 75 cents to $1.25 a pop, what a steal! (and they’re Baby Gap, Old Navy, and Tommy Hilfiger! not that I care that much about name brands) I LOVE the seahorse fabric on the inside of the hood on the blue one!

I got a pair of tennies for Sadie (size 5, she’s growing out of some of her fours!) for $1. She of course, had to try them on right away. (sorry about the out of focus pic)

Last but not least, a couple of cool wire baskets for some storage…probably in my craft room.

My grand total? $9.10. Sah-weet.

My foot’s feeling a bit better today, thankfully. We have Cassy, Rayne, and Dylan coming over for some water fun, and then some swimming later with my mom and sibs, and then a girls night out dinner/movie! I love days that are packed with fun, don’t you?

Oh, and I somehow figured out how to make a button for my blog! it’s over on the right hand column…so feel free to plop it on your blog if you so desire! (I think that would blow my mind if someone did) Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. Great score! I went a few weeks back and didn’t find our usual kids books or even our usual 4T stuff. About throw in the towel and wandered over to linens. I found two of the cutest pillow cases (one with a scalloped edge). There still sitting on my sewing table, waiting to become dresses…
Oh, please post what you create from the little skirt. It’s fun to see how everyone can repurpose into cute little things.

  2. I love that white hoodie! So cute! Glad you’re feeling better. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I LOVE days like that!! I need bloomers for Sienna too and have been wanting to try a shot at making them, because they seem impossible to find in 2T. I can’t wait to see what you do with those wire baskets ๐Ÿ™‚

A great start to the weekend!

Ooooh I almost forgot, I love the button! You should do a tutorial on how to do the buttons ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Awesome score! Love fun days ๐Ÿ™‚ What movie are you seeing? Do I need to call up my niece??

  5. Luckyyyyy! That little sweatshirt with the seahorse fabric inside is amazingly adorable. Looking at your loot makes me want to go thrift store shopping/ garage sale-ing even more than I already wanted to (which was a lot).

  6. P.S. I love Sadie’s Target shorts. I bought the same ones for my daughter Olivia a couple of weeks ago. So Sadie and Olivia will totally match this summer. Umm… maybe that’s weird of me to say. Aaaanyway, cute shorts.

  7. nice score! love your button, great job, I’ll be putting that one up for sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. that blue and white jacket is adorable! what a great score.

  11. Niiiiiice!! I like those sweaters!! It’s pretty hard to find kids clothes at the thrift store that don’t look worn out, but you some how find them!!

Oh, button, on my blog, oh yeah!:) I’ve wanted to make a button, but I don’t have many followers, so I don’t think any one would use it!! haha! Maybe some day!

  12. Not that I want to intentionally blow your mind, but I put your button my blog. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love your thrift store finds and that cute seahorse fabric in the hood. I need to start thrifting…seeing what everyone else finds, is motivating me to get over there. I especially love the vintage linens that so many people seem to find.
