getting ready

We are in the home stretch for baby #2! A little more than 8 weeks and counting. Rory is good about reminding me to get things ready…like buying newborn diapers (oh my gosh…are they REALLY that tiny? I’d forgotten), washing and sorting the 0-3 month clothes, etc….

I’m more about the crafting! lol. Like these big sis/lil’ sis shirts I made for the girls to wear. (with a freezer paper stencil) I also made some matching yo yo clips, of course! Baby’s will go on a headband…another thing on my (loong) list of things to make before she gets here!

Oh, and we moved Sadie into her big girl room. She’s still in her crib (we’re not ready for THAT change yet), so we’ll see how that goes. She did good last night, so I think it went ok! (so far)

…Sadie is busy playing with her little people family. Left to right, that’s Rory (Daddy), Jess (Mommy), Sadie (Dadie), and Baby Sister (Ditter).

***By the way, she picked these out from her Little People collection and named them all herself. She’s one smart little cookie! She makes me smile. ๐Ÿ˜€ (sorry that you’re the bald one, Rory)

  14. These are so cute!! Your letters came out so crisp! It looks like silk screen. You are good! Mine always seem to leak. I think we’ll definitely need to see a picture of the girls in these shirts when she comes!

  16. So cute! I love your ambition. ๐Ÿ™‚ Lizzy did the same thing with the little people at my parents’ house this summer, only she picked a man for my likeness (I have short hair) and she wasn’t quite sure about daddy, ’cause by that point he’d been gone for 6 months… http://littlecumulus.wordpress.com/2009/11/19/little-people-likenesses/
I’m jealous of your old skool chokeable little people!

  17. That is so adorable that she picked out the yummy mummy playschool figure.
I got drawn as a circle (albeit with extra circles for breasts) when mine were that age!
Such sweet matching sisters outfits too.

  18. What a smart little girl you have! I can’t believe you are that close to your due date!

  19. Hey Jess! I love the shirts! I just found your blog today (linked from somewhere to your AMAZING play kitchen) and I realized our daughters are almost the same ages. Taylor will be 2 in July and we are expecting another girl in June! I am also newly crafty (or trying to be): http://sewambitious.blogspot.com/

Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy and life with a toddler AND a newborn! ๐Ÿ™‚
