are you kidding?

This morning we packed the Sadester up and headed to Lowe’s for some bathroom supplies. Not toilet paper (I wouldn’t post about THAT)…tile, grout, trowels…can you guess what we’re about to undertake? Yup, we’re finally redoing the bathrooms. But that’s not what this post is about.

This is what this post is about.

We walked past a clearance rack on our way back that had the little grey-blue boxes (in the picture) on it, for $2.50 each…I thought about getting a few but couldn’t think of where I could use them…so we headed back to the tile section.

After loading up our cart WAY past the point it should have been…we were making our way to the front of the store and I noticed an employee loading some bigger storage boxes onto the rack. I waved Rory on to the front, and headed over to ask him how much those were going for. He said,”um, 50 cents?” I said,”Are you kidding?” Apparently they really wanted to get rid of them! He was serious, and actually a manager, so he could set the prices. WOW.

I grabbed a bunch…wish I had grabbed more in hindsight, but oh well! I caught up with Rory, and as he saw me with a tower of boxes, he went WHOA Jessica. I quickly told him they were 50 cents each and he came around at once. We both were marveling at the good deal, and checking out, when that same manager brought up to the front a 5 pack of different size tupperware storage boxes and asked us if we wanted it for $1. Um…let me think?? YES! I wonder if that guy knows just how much he made my day. So we walked away with 13 storage boxes, 5 with lids, for $5. That’s just under 40 cents apiece. carazay!

The pink ones are for Sadie’s room, and the grey blue ones will be used somewhere!

They fit nicely under her dresser and will hold diapers, toys, etc!

I’m still amazed at the awesome deal we got on these! wow.

  12. I love Lowe’s sale racks!! Last Fall I bought a bunch of window panels(curtains) and valances for 90% off the lowest price!! They rang up at pennies! Literally, I paid no more than $.69 for each of them!!I didn’t hang all of them up, but the fabric itself is just waiting to be used for other “non-window” projects!!

  13. Could you please tell me where you found the stenciil to do the zinnias on the wall I have been looking forever and that is exactly the what I’m looking for for my daughter’s room.

  14. parkerpost-They are actually wall decals! I found them at this etsy shop:
