  1. Hi Jess-i’m de-lurking ๐Ÿ™‚ I love it. the graphic print is great! I know what you mean about needing color, I was saying the same thing to my husband this weekend. I love the turquoise throw on the chair.

  2. I LOVE it. The graphic in it is just enough, you know?

  3. LURVE the rug and the graphic-ness of it! For color, have you considered painting the wall above/surrounding the fireplace? We used Oatlands Shutter Green (Valspar 5009-3); it’s an amazing peacock green/blue/teal color that changes with the lighting. We used it on one wall with our built-ins in creamy white. It’s sophiticated enough with a touch of modern & traditional. Just a thought!

  4. great rug! more color could be brought in with different pillows and coordinating curtains! since there is alot of browns and tans…what about bringing in some more blues! i love the brown and blue color combo!!!

love the photo collage above the fireplace!

  5. Ooo! I love it! Good choice!

  6. Ooh! I like your new rug! Please share – where did you get it from? I like that it’s simple but has a bold pattern – really makes the room pop!

And I have to agree with the other ladies when they urge you to add some blues/teal to the room – I love brown and blue together!

    As always, thanks for sharing!

  7. thanks for all the tips! We do want to paint or cover the fireplace area…especially that stain above the fireplace thing. grr.

  8. It’s gorgeous! Love the way it looks. Is an accent wall a possibility?

  9. love the rug, wish we had a costco around here… ๐Ÿ™

  10. Love the neutral colors! How about making the picture frame on the table the same color as the throw over the chair. Start small and see if the color draws you in.

  11. oooh love it!!

  12. I really like it!

  13. That is an awesome rug!! Great buy. I love quatrefoils.
