currently…

…drying out from errands this morning. it’s been raining almost non stop for 3 days.

…starting to feel the ittle bitty baby kicks..love that!

…tired.

…cracking up at sadie. she likes to play in her closet with the doors closed. then, when i come to check on her, she gives me this LOOK, and shuts the door. (mom! go away) haha.

…slowly adjusting to sadie only getting one nap a day. it’s more of an adjustment for me, than for her. she’s like a ball of energy, while i’m like…PLEASE SIT STILL….i’m begging you!

…is having fun thinking of girl names.

…and trying to pick fabric for the new baby’s bedding. it’s so hard!

…rory is hinting at getting a stand mixer. bestill my heart!

…trying to decide between a Bosch and a Kitchen Aid. Anybody want to weigh in?

Comments

  1. I’ve heard a Bosch can handle a little more than a Kitchen Aid. Either way – I’m completely jealous!

  2. I’d say Bosch but if you go with a Kitchen Aid make sure it’s the professional series. The standard and artisan series are not good at handling thicker batters or doughs.

  3. I hate my kitchen aid. I would go with bosch.

  4. yeah rory wants the pro kitchen aid if we go with that, but he likes the bosch more. it’s up to me! my mom has a bosch that she’s had forever, and it still works great…hmm. decisions, decisions.

  5. i have a bosch and i LOVE it. i use it for EVERYTHING including cookies (with the cool cookie paddles) and would 100% recommend it. i love that it has a lid and can handle thick bread doughs. it’s a powerhouse.
a lot of people i know that have kitchen aids say they wish they had a bosch. but no one i know with a bosch says they wish they had a kitchen aid. (although i wouldn’t mind if they added some cute colors or something to the bosch collection… no the cutest). can you tell i’m in love? ha. good luck!

  6. Bosch all the way! They are tougher than Kitchen Aids…they can handle more dough. They last forever too.

  7. Aren’t those first flutters fun?

I’ve never had a Bosch. I’ve had the same Kitchen Aid (cobalt blue!) for 15 years. It’s lasted making at least two batches of bread a week for those 15 years and countless cookies, cakes etc.

  8. Can’t weigh in on the Bosch (until this post…didn’t even know such thing existed…yup, I live in a cave) but I will say I love my KitchenAid. I’ve had mine for about eight years and use it at least twice a week – I’ve never had trouble with it making anything (bread, cookies, etc).

After seeing how everyone weighed in though I think I’d go with the Bosch.

    Good luck – have fun!

  9. Love my Kitchen Aid! My mom has had hers since we were little. Either is probably gonna be awesome!

  10. go with the bosch, dawn has one and i love it. i totally abuse this thing and it never complains.i had a kitchen aid and i hated it, it over heated all the time, it was a standard series but still, it would overheat if i tried to do more than 1 batch of cookies.

  11. love my kitchen aid (it’s actually my husbands)- have had it about 7 years and it’s dreamy! You’re so lucky that she just went to one nap day. I think Emily was at one nap a day when she was 10 months old. yikes! No wonder I’m insane… ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. We love our Kitchen Aid so much that when my husband started a baking business, he bought another one to keep in his pro kitchen (both were refurbished).

And they look really good. Don’t forget about that…

  13. I thought of something else to consider. Bosch only has the option of a blender/food processor attachment. The Kitchen Aid has a ton of different attachments. Just one more thing to think about.

  14. i have both, a kitchen aid and a bosch…i LOVE my bosch! we got it as a Christmas present almost 10 years ago and i have been in love ever since! THEN one of my hubbys co-workers was selling their Kitchen Aid(for $50…um, that was a no brainer!) so we bought it. We have had it for a few months and i still LOVE my bosch more then the kitchen aid…although the extra attachements are nice and the kitchen aid is def “prettier”…but if i had to only pick one, id pick the bosch! totally worth the $! good luck!

  15. I don’t have a bosch but I want one soo bad, my mom has one and gave me her kitchen aid… it doesn’t do well with bread dough, but it is just a regular kitchen aid.

  16. I LOVE my Bosch. Get the cookie paddles and you’ll never be sorry. I make everything in there, and I’m hoping to get the food processor attachment for mother’s day ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. I have a kitchen aid, my Mom has both a kitchen aid and a bosch. She says they are good for different things. I mostly wanted to comment to say that I saw the same post about the gender party and want to do the same thing when we are pregnant again. Also loved the corsage shirt. So many lovely ideas!

  27. I LOVE my Kitchen Aid. I have never had it NOT handle something I was making…and let me tell you…it gets quite a workout!

  28. BOSCH! I will let you borrow mine for a couple of days and you will never let it go! MOM, accidentaly signed in as Dad.

  29. girls names, hm? well, i’m rather partial to Joanna…. or Anna…. or Jo…. maybe even Ashlyn, just to throw in some variety….

  30. I currently have a kitchen aid that I love. It is and artisian and I make bread in it each week. I would love to switch to a bosh though. I have seen demonstartions and love all it can do especially how fast you can get things done. My friend has a bosh and loves it though she says it is louder than she expected so that might be a down side. If you do get a kitchen aid make especially sure that the motor does not have any plastic parts. I hear that the newer machines do and that the motors are much easier to blow out. Good Luck.
