22 weeks!

Time flies when you're making a baby! I thought I'd post my 22 week pic up...my belly is growin'! Oh, and Rory felt the baby kick last night! He said "I don't think she's going to be a soccer player." I guess the kicks felt tiny to him. They felt pretty good-sized to me! hehe. So that was fun and exciting for him to finally feel her. I'm sure I will get sick of it later on, but right now it's so fun to feel her move off and on throughout the day. :-D P.S. My face looks weird in this picture. oh well.

I'm so proud....

This is a video of my little brother and sister dancing in the clean room at work. You might have to turn it up a little, it's a Black Eyed Peas song. They've got some sweet moves, I think!

P.S. The sound doesn't work apparently. It was funnier with the sound, if you have itunes, it's Dum Diddly by the Black Eyed Peas.

A few of my favorite things....

So, my friend Lindsey did a post a little while ago about her favorite things, and it looked so fun! So, I am going to do it too. :-D

Here, in no particular order, are a few of my favorite things:

Milano cookies. DOUBLE chocolate milanos to be exact.

Disneyland! How can you NOT love the atmosphere there?

My baby's ultrasound pics. I look at them all the time. :-D

My crazy family. They make me laugh. And scream sometimes. (make sure you enlarge this picture to get the full effect)

The hubby. He works so hard for me and the little one and is awesome!

Philippa Gregory's Tudor series of books. a pretty crazy time in history.

My insane cat. Today she BOUNCED off of the couch as she was running around. Just ask Cassy.

Baby clothes. I LOVE them. Too much.

Last, but definitely NOT least, Sushi. Ohhh, yum.

The "Easter" tie.

So, Rory has this tie. He calls it his "Easter" tie. It is hideous. Every year I try and convince him of the ridicule and mocking he will endure, but it doesn't work. He still wears it. I have threatened this tie, but now he knows my motives and would definitely notice if it were, say, cut in half or burnt. I tried shoving it under some pillows on the couch this year. Nope. Didn't work. I only hope the baby can somehow help me out with this issue by throwing up all over it or worse. haha. His thinking is that it has OVALS on it so of course they look like EGGS. duh. So, this year, of course he puts it on...and my whole family told him how cool it was! I'm like, Thanks guys....aren't you supposed to be on my side of this tie war? Of course not. Joanna even matched him this year! Traitor.

Same vacant expression....hehe

See? Isn't it the ugliest tie ever?

Hawaii Album

So I FINALLY got around to scrapbooking some of the pictures from our trip to Hawaii last December. (that's actually a long time for me not to scrap anything) I've been going through a scrap-drought since I got pregnant (I blame it on the fatigue). Anyways, it was nice to finally get something done, and I am doing it in a mini 8x8 size so that it would be faster and easier to finish. Here are a few pages, if you want to see the rest I've done so far, click on my scrapbooking page link to your left!

I feel crafty...oh so crafty!

So yesterday I got it into my head to sew some things for the baby. I enlisted the help of my sister Janae and we decided to try making a blanket. It actually came together fairly quickly, and I sewed it up in no time. The pattern, as you can see, is pink stars, and we decided to sew around some of the stars to keep the batting from sliding around. 22 stars later....well, you get the point. It took forever! It was a labor of love and turned out really cute! We also made a cute burp cloth and ironed on some cute shapes to some onesies. I felt so crafty and creative! It was nice to have something handmade to give to my daughter. Here are some pics of my sewing triumph!

Here's the patterned side.

You can barely see them, but there are some of the stitched stars.

Cute little burpy cloth for our baby to throw up on.

Awww.. The owl will have eyes eventually.

The Belly Bump

So I thought, since I popped out a bit this past week, that I would show off my little baby bump. It's not quite big enough to fill out any real maternity shirts yet though. Darn! hehe. This is me at 18 weeks!

P.S. We're still waiting to hear about the house, but it should be this week!

Dennis the Menace Park...and some tidepooling!

Yesterday my family, including my mom, dad, Rory and I, Jarom, Joanna, Jordan, Janae, Julia, Josh, and my two grandparents, got in the RV to drive down to Monterey and enjoy the nice weather. BAH! It was freezing cold and VERY windy, but we still had fun! We went to Dennis the Menace park, which we used to go to all the time when we were kids. It was fun reminiscing with Jarom about how it changed and what we used to love playing on the most. We ran wild around there for awhile, and then headed down to the tidepools to see if we could find anything cool! Josh, Julia, and I hung back for a little while and looked for shells with all the colors of the rainbow. We just couldn't find green! Then we headed after the older kids. We found an orange starfish, some cool anenomes, and one otter that was injured. Poor little guy had his face scraped up pretty bad. Jarom got really close to him, and he couldn't really move. We saw some other otters out in the ocean, and then headed in before we got cut off by the tide coming in. Then we headed down to the wharf and grabbed some clam chowder samples and candy! It was fun, but right as we were leaving, the wind died down! No fair! haha. On the way home we watched old Home Improvement episodes. Does anyone remember that show? It's a good one, we used to watch it all the time! It was a fun, but tiring day for me. Somehow that sea air just takes it outta you! Here are some fun pics from the day.

The famous lion water fountain. (well, famous to us)

On top of the train.

yay for Rory!

Hiding from the wind in the RV.

Jarom and the otter.

Pretty huh? Jarom took it!

They're pretty street, yo.
