I HEART good food!

Just went down to Gilroy to have lunch with my awesome grandmother at a little hole in the wall called OD's kitchen. A little mom and pop breakfast and lunch place that has the BEST food. I had a delicious BLT sandwich and yummy salad with some ranch dressing that, after I was done with my dressing, I dipped my fork into it and had a little bit all by itself. That how good it was! hehe. Anyways, I just love having lunch with my grandma and catching up with her. Friends and family are very important to me, but you really have to make time for them! It's amazing how caught up you can get in life and let opportunities to spend time together pass you by. I resolve to not let that happen as much as I can. Which means....more LUNCHES with friends and family! Who's up for some lunch? (and or shopping afterwards) haha.

We're still alive.

Hello.

Yes, we are still alive. Barely. I just looked at the calendar and said "Holy crud January is almost over! I'd better put something on the blog." We have just been really distracted and busy. Mostly with an offer we put in on a house that we are waiting to hear back about. We already got a yes from the seller, but we are waiting to hear back from the lender because it's a short sale home. For those of you who don't know what that is...I am not going to explain it. (haha) Here is a website that can though, if you're interested.

So we've been waiting to hear about that, which can take MONTHS. ah! We're hoping it doesn't. My nerves are shattered as is. We would do some fixing up of the house, including redoing the kitchen and carpets and painting everything, so we're having some fun thinking of designs and color schemes. Or, at least I am. Rory is only interested in getting a dishwasher. hehe.

Other than that, we've been working away...and hanging out. My brother Jarom is getting home from his mission to Birmingham England in 17 days! Not that I'm counting. Oh yeah. I am. I am so psyched! It will be great to spend some good quality time with him. We were living in Utah when he left, so we had only seen each other for holidays and trips back home for about a year before he left. He's my best buddy, I'm so stoked!

Anyways, before I sign off, here's a funny picture from some Twister we played a little while ago. Cause no blog is complete without a funny picture!

A few new layouts

Lately, my scrapping mojo, or inspiration, or muse, or whatever you want to call it, has left the building! I don't have a lot of push to scrap like I used to. I did however do a few new pages that I thought I'd put up here, just in case anyone wanted to see them!

Our night of fondue was way fun! We all got soo full. It was worth it though.

Yay New Years!~

Smile! Come on, Cassy smile!

Apparently something was funny.

The never ending string of cheese!

And last, a funny I found that describes what we all wish Santa could bring us.

Arizona Trip

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it was safe and fun for ya! We had some fondue and game fun with our pals Chris and Cassy Watson, our fourth year in a row doing New Years Eve together. It's a tradition now! (if you guys break from that...there will be pain!) haha. I will post some extra pics of that later. Also, I got back from my trip to Arizona with my family to see my cousins, whom I haven't seen for a few years. It was a lot of fun, even the 12 hour car rides. Mostly because we were in an RV, with a TV. Go Friends! We watched about an entire season. It was great! I think I've entirely converted my sis Joanna now. We got to visit the Grand Canyon, have some delicious family dinners together, do a little girly shopping, play some games, visit with our cousins, and go to a AZ Sundogs hockey game. (we all got on the giant screen at one point or another! hehe) It was pretty nice there weather wise, actually, except for the Grand Canyon. Of course, I am Utah weathered so the cold didn't bother me that much. (it was only 22 degrees! Wusses. haha.) Here's a few pics from AZ....I am tired and haven't even unpacked yet, so that's about all I have energy for tonight!

All the fam together...except Jarom and Justin of course.
L-R back to front are: my Aunt Lynn, cousin Nick, Jordan, Joanna, Me, Janae, cousin Jason, Cousin Katie, Joshie, Dad, Mom, Julia, and cousin Heidi. My uncle Bruce was taking the photo.

Those Lance kiddos

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! Arizona Sundogs hockey game. It was soo much fun!
