Radio Shows and leaving on a Jet Plane!

So, we're headed off to Hawaii(!) on Saturday for a week of fun in the...rain?! That's right, it's supposed to rain the whole time, but Rory assured me that we'd be ok, that it stops and starts frequently, and drizzles. (?) You can safely assume I will be sporting a curly look the whole week as my hair does not react well to humidity. haha. We may or may not have internet access where we're staying, but you might have UP TO DATE INFO ON OUR VACATION. holy moly! Bet you're so excited about that! Funny thing happened yesterday. I was in the car, driving, (of course) and I heard the radio announcer ask a question about a Christmas song. I happened to know the answer AND remember the phone number as she rattled it off (a miracle in and of itself) so I called in. I called about 5 times til I got through! I won a body wrap at a spa that's worth about $130! Awesome eh? So then I just HAD to borrow my brother in law's ipod and listen to hear myself on the radio. I actually didn't sound too much like an idiot! So that was my exciting moment for the...year. hehe. Well, I've gotta go get my packing...started. oops. Here's a little something to make you SOO jealous. Muwhahaa. (that is my evil laugh)

Oh Christmas Tree!

Ahhh..Thanksgiving is over. Time for Christmas! It's a tradition for my family to go and cut down our tree on the day after Thanksgiving. It was nice to be able to go with them this year and pick out a tree! Of course we had the requisite tag in the trees game, and the fight over which tree is better...but we finally picked out our trees. Happy Christmas Tree Day!

Scrapbooking Day with the Girls

Yesterday was a blast! My sisters and mom came up to Morgan Hill for a full day of scrapbooking and girlish fun. We got a lot of pages done, and introduced Janae and Julia to some hard core scrapping. Rory was MIA-not from fear of all the estrogen at home, but at a Cub Scout campout/hike. He was probably pretty relieved he was gone most of the day. His hike was 7 miles long and very tiring! He did a great job though. He enjoys his calling a lot. Anyways, back to us girls. After all our scrapping, we grabbed some In n' Out, and then attempted to get our new HD DVD player to do what we wanted. FINALLY, with some help from Rory, we were able to watch the movie Anastasia and top off our fun day. Here are some fun pics!

Weekends are tiring!

This weekend was fun but tiring. lol. I went down to my parents place to sleepover and then the next day help my sister clean her room. That part was fine...her room was NOT! agh. It was a disaster! (sorry jo, it was!) hehe. I played the part of the slave driver all day. It was A LOT of work. we were working on the room all day minus a few breaks for grub. and shopping. We got a cute color scheme worked out though. I'm excited to see how it turns out. So, then I went home and hung out with the hubby, which was nice and relaxing. I started feeling sick though. I guess I'm having bad allergies to my cat's room. yuck. Then, sunday rolled around, and we were subbing for the 5 year old sunday school class! They are good kids and we've taught them before, but still we were ready to crash when we got home. First we drove past a new house on the market on our way home. But, then of course I got into this book, The Goose Girl, that Joanna lent me and I didn't take a nap. haha. Then, we decided to move my scrapbook area to our spare room! woohoo. lots more space and fun times to be had. Here's a pic of the half-finished room. I still need some shelves and storage-but it's nice to spread my stuff out. Anyways, that was my weekend. Hope yours was crazy and fun too!

6 Facts about Jessica:

1. Don't call me Jessie. (don't!)
2. I watch Friends on an endless loop. I'm finishing up season 10 for the third time since we moved home at the end of April.
3. I was Hannah Montana for Halloween. I love that show! :-D (I included a pic)
4. I love paper. And ribbon. And letters. I love to scrapbook, so there is a reason to buy every pattern, color, and shape I want. (well, not a reason, but an excuse for sure!)
5. I will not eat french fries without ranch dressing to dip them in.
6. I really love my TV shows. When someone mentions doing something on a Thursday night, I mentally make sure all my shows will be taped before I say yes. (and we have DVR!)
